Of interest with this restoration are the black marks (water stains & heat or simply over 100 years of use). How do we remove them? Well, lemon juice and baking soda is one way (drop me a line and I will give you some hints) but in my classes we use oxalic acid and this requires some guidance along with some health and safety requirements. We usually do this outside. Come to a class so I can show you the correct and safe way to do this.
