An all original Australian beech high chair c.1890s. This is an all original beech high chair with play area. It can be converted to a child’s roll along play area in a few seconds. I have spent several hours stripping and given it 12 coats of French Polish. I have used a natural beeswax to finish it off, so that it looks as good as the day it was made about 125 years ago. Total height is 85 cm and the height to the bottom of the seat 63 cm. It has a very stable base covering an area of 51 cm by 49 cm. The height using the lever action converted to the play area is 48 cm. Height to top of seat in this position is 23 cm with a play area and seven painted beads. When in position if the child is sitting down it will not move. When the child stands the tray can be moved and the whole high chair can be rolled along by the infant. Height is 85 cm by 51 cm and a depth of 49 cm. This is a very rare piece, transport can be arranged anywhere in Australia. Email me for details. [For sale here: http://tinyurl.com/pg4s6jo].
