A 2 day workshop on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 August 2016.
Bring your tired old treasure or new piece needing that final touch and learn the ancient art of French polishing. Add $$s to the value of your family heirloom.
In Neville’s workshops, you get to work immediately, cleaning your piece, filling any cracks in the timber, gluing wobbly joints removing marks left by burns, water or other spillages, sanding and then finally when he is satisfied with the timber’s surface, applying the French polish. Along the way you learn from a master about the history of furniture design and production, about timbers and techniques used for specific purposes and many other things you never knew you needed to know.
Presented by Colac Woodcrafters Guild – $80 for Guild members; $120 for non-Guild members. Limited places so register early. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0424478691.
